Join me for Women in Bios Lobster Pot Pitch night @ the Broad March 26, 2020!

Last year, I had the happy circumstance to attend The Lobster Pot, Women In Bio Boston's annual investor pitch competition. Amy Speak, Chapter Vice Chair did an excellent job promoting this event where local women-led startups make their pitch to leading Boston area women investors. It's a great way to celebrate women in business and learn from the life science entrepreneurs and investors who are making an impact.

Last year founders/CEOs pitched to experienced women venture capital panelists, who shared general wisdom, experience and insights valuable to entrepreneurs and start-ups. Last years event was moderated by Marian Nakada, PhD, Vice President Venture Investments Johnson & Johnson Innovation. And the panelists included Laura Brass (Partner Novartis Venture Fund), Michelle Doig (Partner Omega Funds), Deborah Palestrant (Partner 5AM Ventures), and Anna Turetsky (VP Lighthouse Ventures). Usually you can expect 4-6 CEO/Founders pitch in a JP Morgan style ~20 minute session followed up by questions from the audience and investors then recommendations from the investor panel.

Whether you are starting your own company, raising money, or just want to celebrate powerful women, this is one event you can’t afford to miss. And while Women in Bio is celebrating their women entrepreneurs, the event itself is open to all. This year's Lobster Pot will be at the Broad Institute from 5:30-8pm on March 26, 2020.

I just bought my early bird ticket and hope to see you too.
