VP of Business Development - Antibody Reagents
Based in San Diego
Job Responsibilities
Be responsible for developing and supporting high-value new opportunities in IVD focused commercial development programs, using products and services from our organization to deliver enhanced client value.
Identify new opportunities and develop commercial relationships with new and existing accounts in Diagnostics/Biotech/Pharma and CRO’s where our products and services can add value to diagnostic programs.
Ability to present the advantages of being a OEM supplier of quality antibodies and unique enzymes to senior management at IVD, IHC, and Flow Cytometry accounts.
Prospect for leads and identify new opportunities to develop business relationships at key accounts with a special focus on high potential commercial licensing opportunities, with focus on anti-idiotype antibodies, custom labeling of both primary antibodies and antibody drug conjugates.
Develop relationships and opportunities to custom develop antibodies for companion diagnostics in
the Biopharma market.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in scientific field, preferred majors in molecular biology, immunology, or biochemistry. Relevant successful management experience in the commercial antibody market will also be considered in lieu of specific technical degree.

Proven experience in Strategic account partnering or Business Development in IVD or Pharma/biotech industrial fields.

Experience in or working with CRO or Tissue based clinical assay or CDx development an advantage.

Fundamental understanding of drug discovery and development, and exposure to QED/Genovis IVD and Therapeutic areas of interest

Highly motivated and self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and can exercise keen judgment while navigating open-ended situations with a good degree of independence
