Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our company, a leading functional proteomics company which leverages its patented technology for producing correctly folded, functionally validated proteins. Our platform has become the gold standard technology for detecting any biomarker (autoantibodies, DNA or proteins) that interacts with a protein at exceptional sensitivity and specificity.

 

As the VP of Sales and Marketing, you will play a critical leadership role working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing and customer relation teams for the development, management and execution of the company’s short-term and long-term global commercial strategies and objectives. You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and work closely with our stakeholders to ensure effective sales and marketing operations and delivery of objective key results. (Based in the USA)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and execute the company’s global sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth

  • Build, lead and develop the global sales organisation to execute commercial plans and strategies

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to maximise business opportunities and build effective global sales channels

  • Develop strategic plans and proposals for winning new opportunities with a focus on large strategic long-term recurring opportunities

  • Drive the leadership in understanding pipeline, forecasts and other OKRs that flow through a range of sales leaders and market segments

  • Plan and execute on all marketing and communication activities through relevant digital channels including social media and PR

  • Responsible for executing targeted and engaging marketing campaigns across the different platforms

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate degrees in any Life Science discipline, e.g., Genetics, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Protein Engineering or related fields

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in a commercial biotech or pharma environment

  • Proven knowledge and practical experience with product development, market requirements, product launches, marketing plans, competitive analyses and technology assessment

  • Track record of success in leading and building sales organisations

  • Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining and retaining the “big picture” of the overall business development

  • Strong technical knowledge of proteomics specifically in protein arrays, protein expression, mass spectrometry and/or assay development is highly desirable

  • Strong management skills and leadership capability with intense drive and a sense of urgency

  • Flexibility in working hours to support multiple time zones
